Good morning people of York! Its Monday 11th January and we have some fantastic programmes lined up for you today. Tune in from midday here: www.tworiversradio.stream
1-2pm – Ask York
We will be repeating one of our fantastic episodes from the Two Rivers Radio archive.
3-4pm – What Rock?
This week on What Rock? It’s a birthday special as Alex & Sam celebrate Sam‘s 21st by looking at bands from around his home town, Manchester.
Manchester, United Kingdom Manchester Music
4-5pm – That 80s Show with Lisa Kelly
Hey, Lisa is back again with “That 80s Show” …awesome tunes from #Bowie, #Madonna, #U2 and many more….but what was the month that all of these tunes were first released?
6-7pm – Rosey’s Time Capsule
Join Rose Drew for just another day, eh? Not so fast! On or around this day, Tiberius died and cleared the way for Nero to seize control of Rome. I’m sure we can have a great chat on modern dictators that, while not as depraved sexually as Nero, are certainly fiddling while our planet burns. However! Rose will be searching out happy, cheerful events from the past to talk about at 6pm. After all, who wants to listen about the US Pres while they’re starting to think about an evening meal?
7-8pm – Soul Funktion
Soul Funktion returns for its new monthly slot between 8 and 9p.m. with this month David Johnson focusing on ‘Soul Divas’. An hour dedicated to great female soul singers. There will be music from Anita Baker, Randy Crawford, Chaka Khan, The Jones Girls and of course a show like this has to include Aretha Franklin! With Valentines looming this week there will be one or two tunes to get you in the mood for ‘loooove’❤️
8-9pm – Breaking York
This week Graham will be joined by singer/songwriter Colin Cutler.
We’ll be playing some of Colin’s own songs and some songs that have inspired him over the years, whilst chatting about what brought him to #York, Where you can hear him play live, which other musicians does he likes from the local scene, that sort of thing. And of course we’ll be asking the really difficult questions like what setting does he use on his tumble dryer and has he ever dried his socks in the microwave?
Yes we ask the tough, topical questions! Get your ears Cutlerated for an hour.
10-11pm – (Late) Mr Judge to You!
“THE FINAL HOUR OF THE FINAL HOUR!”… The Late Mr Judge To You will be a little less late following today’s show… when we will move to a new 9 till 10 slot… The last of the ‘last hour’ will be marked by a veritable cornucopia of “Radio Quiet” musical monuments, to calm and collect us as we trade our Monday trials, tests, follies and grind for the mystical world of deep night, dark dreams and sleepy secrets in the very last last hour… (until the next one!!)
Tune in and enjoy from midday ’til 11pm today. Please like, share and comment on our content.

Tadcaster based singer/songwriter Bryony Drake is coming to the Two Rivers Radio broadcast lounge to play tracks from her new as yet unreleased EP plus a few extras. Live and exclusive to Breaking York and Two Rivers Radio
Bryony’s vocal style is unique – which is difficult to achieve when there are so many great vocalists out there. Her penchant for wrapping the emotional conundrum inside a dystopian enigma leaves your ears burning with a mixture of why me and a desire to stop the world and fix it.
You’ll fall in love with the characters in her songs as they wrench at your heart strings and stir your compassion for an artist whose talent is under appreciated – still unsigned Bryony is a vocal ruby surrounded by lyrical diamonds set in 18 carat gold.
Tune into Breaking York between midday – 1pm today!
