PLANT-BASED NUTRITION FOR WELLBEING –CONFUSION or CONFIDENCE?
Vegan, vegetarian, and plant-based diets are buzzwords nowadays. There is so much, often very conflicting and contradictory, information in all sorts of media, including social media about the effects of our nutritional choices on our physical, mental and even emotional health and wellbeing in general.  Come to this talk for a bit of myth-busting and science, ideas and information. Bring your questions for the Q&A session at the end of the talk – I promise that it will be both useful and fun!

PLAYING WITH WORDS Claire Davies (The Greedy Wordsmith) and Gayle Johnson (Red Tree Writing)

Join Claire and Gayle for a morning of playful writing at True Story, Lord Mayors Walk, as part of
York’s first ever city wide Wellbeing Day. During this interactive session, we will look at how writing can help you reconnect with yourself, tune into your creativity and guide you through life. Together, in an informal, supportive environment, we’ll explore our personal histories with writing, discuss the various forms of writing available to us and play with a few simple writing prompts.  Everybody has the right to write, and this session will get you going whether you already have a personal writing habit or not.

RE-ENERGISING WITH CLAY

Take a break from your usual routine and come and play with some clay! Re-energise yourself by
making a clay pot and get your imagination going again.
Pay as you feel, all ages welcome, no experience needed. As we all know, looking after our mental
health is an important part of life and we all need to check in on this every now and then, so come and take some time out to relax and enjoy!
Reserve your space by booking online through Eventbrite as a free ticket and any contributions given on the day of the workshop, to cover costs of materials, will greatly be appreciated.

4pm-5pm –  Juliet is chatting to Sally Duffin on Yor Living Well this week. Widely respected York nutritional therapist Sally is popping in to chat about the link between mental health, the gut and our nutrition. Plus our usual great mix of music.

5pm-6pm – Compost John’s Recycled Radio Show with John Cossham
John will be interviewing Robin from Extinction Rebellion about the depth of the crisis we have with climate change and suggest ways in which we can respond positively to the extinction event we’re orchestrating!

6pm – 7pm –  New Show this Week! Ozz joins Two Rivers Radio with The Totally Serious(!) Metal show. Our hero fights goblins, unicorns, tyrants and lions, mostly for fun, because heavy metal is a serious business!

7pm – 8pm – Music History 101 with Christian Greenwood.
