Two Rivers Radio to Host Youth Singing Competition!

Junior Star Singer takes to the road again and this year on more than 20 radio stations across the UK.  It gives young budding singers and songwriters the chance to showcase their talents to music industry professionals.  The prize is an opportunity to have a track recorded with a high profile producer and have the track played across the radio tour on all 20 stations the following year.  A remarkable chance for any young artist who wants to break into the industry.  This year founder and main presenter Amanda Neale has invited some exciting new judges to listen to the talent across the competition.
We have Tom Manning, Director of the famous Monnow Valley Studios where the likes of Simple Minds, Coldplay, Oasis, Skunk Anansie, Phil Collins, Stereophonics and many more have recorded their works.  Tom has produced amazing legendary artists with his team and developed up and coming new ones.
We also have Laurence Hobbs from Charthouse music who is a writer and  producer and has written for many acts including Sam Smith, Pixie Lott, Shayne Ward, Andy Abrahams, Sean Wolfe, Laura White and Amanda Wilson.  He has written songs that have reached number one in seven countries and has written songs for companies such as BBC, Sky and Syco.  Charthouse have produced for the Voice Kids and Britains Got Talent
Finally we have amazing DJ Shabz, professional club and radio DJ, competition winner and mix DJ for BBC Radio 1Xtra.  With seventeen years experience under his belt, Shabz had developed a fulfilling career as an outstanding club DJ in and around London.
It’s going to be a great competition this year, so if you know of any young singers or songwriters that would like to apply, they can do so via the website on¬†www.juniorstarsinger.co.uk
The York heat will be hosted by Two Rivers Radio at our pop-up studio at The Corner Pin on Sunday August 12th.
